Violations
Another
of her workshops called Tools for the Prevention
of Harassment and Other Workplace Violations is
designed especially for Human Resources professionals.
Various exercises and group discussions are used to
help "create pictures" of inappropriate workplace
behaviors and define "reasonable" expectations
for change. The goals of the program are to define sexual
harassment and other violations of human dignity so
that participants will easily recognize these offenses.
More importantly, the program provides tools to avoid
and handle episodes of workplace offenses. Attention
will be paid to helping attendees understand, use and
teach assertion skills to empower themselves
and their companies managers to deal with workplace
violations. According to current law, managers bear
a particular responsibility and liability regarding
certain harassment. The program provides recommendations
to HR professionals to help their companies managers
to mitigate that legal burden.
