Joan
Curtice is a Human Resources Consultant with twenty
years experience designing, developing and
implementing legally compliant HR functions in
both established and fast paced start-up high
technology and biotechnology organizations. Her
specialty is in the area of Legal Compliance.
Her goal is to protect her client companies from
the consequences of illegal or inappropriate workplace
behaviors by designing effective policies and
initiating good business practices through proactive
Human Resources (HR) planning and consulting services.
To ensure appropriate compliance measures are
in effect, she also conducts HR audits and investigates
allegations of inappropriate workplace behaviors.

former in-house practitioner, Joan knows what
works and what doesnt, and therefore can
direct her audience toward practical, pragmatic,
real-world solutions. She conducts interactive
learning environments designed to help reduce
exposure to litigation. These include workshops
that define, identify and attempt to alter inappropriate,
offensive or harassing behaviors.
Concerned
with enhancing each organizations capability
to meet its goals, Joan focuses her efforts on
those initiatives that produce resultsquickly,
efficiently and effectively. And she does so with
a sense of urgency second to none. For over twenty
years Joan has led her clients in the recruitment
and development of a competent and confident work
force. She has designed successful recruitment
strategies and provided high volume recruitment
efforts in diverse environments such as the biopharmaceutical
and semiconductor industries, software development
and Internet commercialization sectors.
Additionally,
Joan has provided her client companies with a
full array of other Human Resources activities
including: benefits analysis and design, employee
relations, training, career development and outplacement.
Joan
received a Masters degree in Applied Management
from Lesley College and holds a Bachelor of Arts
in Sociology from Northeastern University. She
also has completed training in Harvard Universitys
Mediation Program.
